Lukaku and Trossard help Belgium dismantle Luxembourg in 3-0 win

By Alessandro Schiavone at Stade Roi Baudoin

The city of London was yet again at the heart of Belgium's win as Romelu Lukaku and Leandro Trossard scored to help register a 3-0 win over Luxembourg.

A penalty and tap-in goal either side of half-time through Chelsea outcast Lukaku put the Belgians in the driving seat before the Gunner expertly finished with nine minutes to go to kill off any hopes of a comeback.

Lukaku did his chances of a big-money move to Saudi Arabia no harm as Chelsea are holding out for £38million to let him go.

Luc Holtz's Luxembourg chased shadows for the majority of the second period as Belgium exerted a growing stranglehold on the game.

And Belgium took advantage of their opponents retreating and gifting them space.

An upturn in performance is needed in their Euro 2024 opener against Slovakia or else they may run the risk of a fiasco like in Qatar.
