'I want us to keep pushing' - Andrews talks about Brentford's Euro ambitions, Thiago, and Ouatarra

The Bees missed a great opportunity to grab another win in their quest to qualify for Europe, but boss Keith Andrews believes his team can still get there with the right mindset as they enter the final furlongs.
He saw his side take control with two first-half goals and they looked well on course for three points against the Premier League's bottom club, but they let Wolves back into it with a goal just before the interval and fell away in the second half to draw 2-2.
"The fact I'm being asked questions [about Europe] is really nice," Andrews said. "Where we are with eight games to go, it's a good position to be in. Our destiny, where we finish in the league, what we achieve, is very much on us. I think that's the big message to everybody attached to the club.
"What do we want to do? Do we want to continue to really push hard, because I do. I really want to push hard in these last eight games, which is why it's disappointing that we weren't able to find three points tonight.
"It was very frustrating. We need to manage the game better. We need to perform better in the second half, manage momentum...try and mature a little bit more. That's probably the disappointing thing - that we didn't perform as well in the second half in different aspects of the game and we got punished for that.
"First half I felt we were in control for large parts and were dangerous and could have been ever more dangerous with a bit more clinical thinking and clinical actions. Second half, we didn't produce the levels that we normally do."
The outcome would surely have been very different had Igor Thiago not headed against a post moments after making it 2-0, but it was still a memorable day for the Brazilian who has been called up for the national side.
"I'm really happy for him," Andrews aid. "Really proud of what he's done to get to this point. He's been here for nearly two years now and seen that closely and know a lot about his overall journey to get to Europe and then the Premier League and I said to the staff that everybody's played a little bit pf a part in this and we should all be very proud of Tiago's dream coming true.
"It has a been a dream - a huge ambition and a driving force and motivation for him and hopefully when he pulls on that iconic jersey, it'll be a special moment for Thiago and all his family and we'll feel a nice sense of pride at that."
The other plus point of the night was the excellent shift put in by Dango Ouatarra - whose touch and pass for Tiago's goal were sublime. He was full of energy and menace and it was a fine response to the failed Panenka a week ago that cost the Bees in their FA Cup shoot-out with West Ham.
"Dango's been brilliant - absolutely outstanding for us. I think he's a major player in how we play: versatile, honest, defensively does everything that he can on that front and he's constantly trying to improve his game. He's produced massive moments for us throughout the season - whether that's goals or assists - and he's a hugely popular person in our dressing room. [Last week] didn't affect him."
There is concern over Mikkel Damsgaard's fitness. He came off early, having been nursing a knee injury picked up in the recent home defeat to Forest. "He's been managing that a little bit and he's played through a little bit of pain," Andrews said. "We'll have to see how it is."
