Josh Cullen: To get a point at this great West Ham side you have to respect that. Burnley down? It's not over yet

Burnley midfielder Josh Cullen has spoken exclusively to Capital Football at the end of their 2-2 draw at West Ham. Here is what he said:

On being pegged back at the death despite leading 2-0 at half-time: "The first-half was really good and we can be proud of the first-half performance. I think when you concede so early in the second-half, especially away from home...obviously the momentum of the game sort of changes and we had to try and fight and battle for the rest of the second-half. It's a disappointment because when you're 2-0 up you wanna win games. But we know West Ham is a tough place to come and to get a point we have to respect that as well."

On whether Vincent Kompany's half-time plan was to kill the game off with a third or see out the two-goal lead: "Nothing was changing, we were still trying to go for the third, trying to play the way we did in the first-half. I think West Ham changed a little bit, really sort of pressed us aggressively, man v man and started to go very direct with Antonio coming on. It sort of made it harder for us to control possession and dictate the game although we had chances at the end the more they pushed. Brownhill's chance at the end is a massive one to win the game at 3-2. We're a little bit disappointed but we always try to play the way we want to."

Despite being ten points behind Nottingham Forest with ten games to go only, Cullen still believes they can stay up: "We'll keep fighting until the end, there are still points to play for. It's not over, until it's not mathematically done we have to keep fighting every week. We believe we can put a run of results together that can get us out of trouble. We have to keep going."

On how it felt returning to former club West Ham: "It still feels a little bit [like home]. It's strange coming as the away team but no yeah it was good."

On the Hammers' rise: "They've obviously done great in Europe and done very well in the league, put together consecutively good seasons. It's good to see that the club that I come through the academy are now doing well."
