Pressure? What pressure?

Thomas Frank was in fine straight-bat mode as he played down the feeling of mutiny at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after his side flopped on home soil yet again.

Supporters in the massed South Stand were in an unforgiving mood after seeing their side slump to a 2-1 defeat to rivals West Ham - their sixth home defeat of the campaign. And chants were less than supportive of the Dane, who they predicted would be 'sacked in the morning.'

But the man himself did his best to deflect the sense of gloom in his post-match press conference and refused to see the latest calamity as a sign that he doesn't know how to turn the tide.

"Yeh, of course I've had better times," he said. "I understand. I'm the manager so the blame will go to me and I have no problem in that sense, as long as they are backing the players and doing everything they can to support them and drive them forward.

"If you are not winning enough, you know you are not getting support from the fans but it will change when we start winning again, which we will do. I'm not in doubt of that.

"If the players stopped running or working hard, then I think you could say OK, but I think the team's working very hard and I still think, though I know it sounds a bit crazy, that we are close to something very good than further away.

"Today we could easily have won this one 2-1. It's no excuse but I think we are little bit down to the bare bones with players and it's difficult for me to just click a finger. But I can promise that I'm sitting here giving everything every single day and I feel the trust from everyone and we just need to keep going.

"I hope the players are playing for the club, the team, each other, the fans, me, staff, ownership, everything - they play for their families too. You need to see the team running, especially in tough times, and I see a team that's running in tough times and doing everything it can to turn things around.

"It's the prefect storm at the moment with a last minute defeat but when you feel that everyone has given everything and you get a sucker-punch in injury time, it's unbelievably tough to take."

Frank added that he was aware that a leak at the club had led to his team's line-up being revealed on social media on the eve of the match but he insisted this did not faze him.

"It's not optimal but I don't think it's the first time in football history that it happened," he said. "Of course I would prefer it not to happen but no, I'm not worried [about there being a mole at the club]."
