Here is how we rated Tottenham's players in today's 0-0 draw with Everton.

Antonin Kinsky 7 – Good save to push behind James Garner’s first half stoppage time free-kick and used his head to somehow deny Thierno Barry an early second half breakthrough. Lucky to see Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall fire straight at him from his poor clearance.

Archie Gray 6 – Required treatment for a back injury early on and then struggled to deal with the pace of Tyrique George, whose 50th minute delivery was almost headed in by Barry.

Jan Paul van Hecke 7 – Could have got on the scoresheet but fired over from close range after a meeting a free-kick. Good header to deny Barry an opportunity but perhaps fortunate Brennan Johnson squandered his shot. Overall a solid display though.

Micky van de Ven 7 – A composed performance from Tottenham’s skipper at the back. Good strong challenge on Brennan Johnson as he threatened to burst through and another clearance to prevent Johnson meeting George’s dangerous looking ball.

Andy Robertson 6 – Got forward into the Everton box a few times in the first half and also put in a few dangerous deliveries. Solid enough effort.

Rodrigo Bentancur 6 – Looked the real deal in the first period. Those levels dipped noticeably after the break and unsurprisingly replaced by Bergvall.

Sandro Tonali 6 – Another Spurs player who did well in the opening period but not so impressive as Everton grew into the game. Still looks like he is settling in at his new club.

Savio 7 – Used his pace and skill well when Tottenham were in the ascendancy before the break. Definite positives to take.

Mateus Fernandes 6 – Another who looked a real handful on before dipping. There were ironic cheers from Tottenham’s goal-starved fans when he produced a tame shot on target early in the second period, their first on target.

Omar Marmoush 6 – Caused problems early on but a few frustrating moments as the game wore on and replaced by Maddison.

Dominic Solanke 6 – Seemed up for it in the early stages when Tottenham looked most likely. Faltered as the game wore on and hooked after the hour.

Subs

Mathys Tel 5 (for Solanke 63 mins) - Didn’t seem to stick to one position when he came on, which didn’t help.

Lucas Bergvall 6 (for Bentancur 63 mins) – Almost won it in the 89th minute with an effort from outside the box which Jordan Pickford did well to push behind.

Mahammed Kudus 5 (for Fernandes 63 mins) – Came on with almost half an hour to play but didn’t exactly change the direction of the game in Tottenham’s favour

James Maddison n/a (for Omar Marmoush 77 mins) – A popular late substitution but didn’t make much impact.

Tosin Adarabioyo n/a (for Archie Gray 85) – Made a late cameo debut from the bench so will be pleased to get a few Tottenham minutes under his belt.
