Dewsbury-Hall: I want to be like Paul Scholes. Teeing others up? Nice, but I prefer to score myself

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall described Sunday's performance against Crystal Palace as the high-water mark of his career.

The 23-year old Englishman teed up Ademola Lookman for the Foxes' breakthrough then scored himself with a fine finish into the bottom corner.

When asked which player he models his game on, he cited Manchester United legend Paul Scholes as the single most important influence on his career.

Speaking to Capital Football after the game, he said: "I have always said that my idol is Paul Scholes, he did a lot of that in his career. I've watched many videos on him and try to emulate little things he can do.

"From the players that are playing now, I like Kevin De Bruyne. They look for that pass and I only keep adding that to my game and it's a nice feeling to be able to finish that with a goal."

But does he get more enjoyment from finding the back of the net himself or after setting others up?

He said: "Good question. I really do like setting others up but there's no feeling like scoring a goal.

"It's an unbelievable feeling and I'm hoping that there will be many more for me. I think I've had a lot of good games.

"The goal and assist obviously helps it but i feel the all-round performance was good as well, there's a lot of good stuff in the game. It's a special feeling and hopefully I get a lot more them feelings to come."
