Charlton's woes continue as even a struggling Norwich City prove too good for them

Championship
Charlton Athletic (1) 1 Kelman 10
Norwich City (1) 3 Maghoma 35, Kvistgaarden 50, Mesik og 76
The Addicks extended their very troubling winless run to nine games - piling more pressure on Nathan Jones as a bright start to the campaign disappears further in the rear view mirror.
The lunchtime game started well enough for the Addicks as they took a deserved early lead, but just as in their last home game against Bristol City, the promising, intense start gave way to a more prosaic performance as Norwich established a foothold before seizing outright control.
Defeat was Charlton's first at the Valley.
Perhaps it was the fact they were forced to kick the 'wrong way' in the first half that got the Addicks up to speed quickly at the outset - or maybe it was the prospect of taking advantage of visitors in freefall. Norwich arrived on the back of six straight defeats - five of them in the Championship - and with boss Philippe Clement surely fearing for his job. He will sleep easier after today.
The Addicks could have been ahead within seconds of the off as Tyreece Campbell raced through on goal, only to be thwarted by keeper Dan Grimshaw.
But Charlie Kelman soon did have the Valley faithful in raptures, rounding the keeper from a pass by Joe Rankin-Costello before firing into an almost-empty net - a backtracking defender unable to block the final shot. It was the striker's first of the season.
The bright start was undone half an hour later when the Canaries, who had started to work themselves back into the game, equalised through the skilful Paris Maghoma, who collected a diagonal pass out wide on the right from Mathias Kvistgaarden and charged goalwards before lashing a show high past Arthur Okonkwo.
The Canaries, buoyed by the arrival of Kenny McLean off the bench, should have been in front soon after the break too when Maghoma got in behind the Addicks' back line to lay on a chance on a plate for Andre Brooks that his team-mate fired wide.
But it was only a brief reprieve because in the next attack, Rauiri McConville's crossfield ball to the back post was met by a firm header from Kvistgaarden which Okonkwo could only palm into the roof of the net.
Charlton thought they had made it 2-2 when McConville headed a Campbell cross into his own net following a short corner but a flag was raised, with Kelman deemed offside and interfering with play. And they went close again when Campbell's fine run down the right ended with him slipping the ball in for Kelman, whose clipped effort went wide.
Yet the good spell did not come to anything and it was Norwich who scored again when sub Anthony Musaba's first bit of action saw him bamboozle Billy Koumetio before firing in a low cross that deflected into the net off Ivan Mesik and past Okonkwo.
And but for a save by Okonkwo in injury time, Musaba would have had a second goal involvement as he turned his man and fired low at the keeper, who just about put it out for a corner - more by luck than judgement.
The third goal was the cue for boos and many early exits from the stands. The dynamic home end drumming of the first half was well and truly silenced. Those who did stay until the end offered more boos.
