Mikel Arteta insists his players are more fired up than ever for tomorrow's showdown with PSG - with the league title success having increased the appetite for more silverware rather than diluted it.

The Arsenal boss looked in positive and relaxed mood ahead of what he hopes could be the club's greatest ever night.

The Gunners have the chance to enter a new chapter in their storied history if they can find a way of overcoming the fearsomely brilliant champions tomorrow in the Puskas Arena.

Asked whether his team felt less pressure now they gave the Premier League monkey of their back, the Arsenal boss said: "No. The ambition is bigger.

"We are very focused and positive. We have earned the right to be here and it's an opportunity for us to own the moment.

"It's an opportunity to write a new chapter and we have to play with clarity, courage, and a relentless desire to win."

Arteta has been able to share the positive news that Jurrien Timber and Noni Madueke are both available, with only Ben White definitively ruled out.

Timber's inclusion would be a boon but also carries a risk if he is not fully match fit as he comes up against one of the best players in the world in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Skipper Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka were both on message about the desire to take Arsenal to the next level in terms of the club's CV and echoed the bosses views.

"I know the quality we have in the team," said Odegaard. "Winning the Premier League gives us a lot of confidence. We have full belief in ourselves and what we can do. The focus is on us more than the opposition."

Saka said: "It's a massive opportunity to do something special. We feel we are a very tight-knit team willing to fight for each other on and off the pitch."
