Chelsea player ratings - do you agree?

Chelsea faded badly after an inspiring first half – a late equaliser costing them two points in a 2-2 draw. It was a great afternoon for two-goal Tammy Abraham but Frank Lampard’s men flattered to deceive.

Kepa Arrizabalaga: 6

One of those home games the Chelsea keeper has now and then, where he has very little to do, apart from pick the ball out of the net. Did have one swerving Ollie Norwood shot to deal with but not much chance with the goals.

Cesar Azpilicueta: 5

Was grateful that Callum Robinson’s diving header was off target after his adversary ghosted in past him at the far post. Beaten too easily by Enda Stevens when Blades scored at the start of the second half. Almost laid on a third for Abraham but might have done better in build up to United’s second.

Fikayo Tomori: 6

Drafted in for his Premier League debut, with Andreas Christensen axed. Did not always look entirely comfortable but overcame nerves to make a steady contribution. Great block to deny Robinson moments before the Blades made it 2-2.

Kurt Zouma: 5

Usual mix of searing power and occasional clumsy touches. Poor clearing header almost gifted the Blades a first half goal. Almost headed in a corner, but was beaten by Lys Mousset to a low cross for the late Blades equaliser.

Emerson: 6

Picked out Abraham with one great angled cross and got forward well to boost the options down his left flank. But became less of a menace going forward as the match wore on.

Jorginho: 7

A very tidy performer for the most part. Swept up well and gave the Blues a sense of solidity in midfield. Also played in the chip which panicked the Blades defence into giving Abraham his second goal.

Mateo Kovacic: 6

Guilty of giving the ball away in a dangerous area, but almost put Blues 2-0 up after a clever dart into the box and low strike which went just wide. Made way for Michy Batshuayi for the last 10 minutes.

Ross Barkley: 6

Energetic driver of attacks early on. Seems lifted by his start to the season and inclusion in Gareth Southgate’s plans for next week’s Euro qualifiers. Pinged one low left footer at goal, which was saved but subbed on the hour.

Christian Pulisic: 6

Made a nuisance of himself in the box for an effective assist for Abraham’s 19th minute opener with his challenge on United’s keeper. Some neat touches but Blues needed a bit more.

Mason Mount: 5

Was hoping to mark his England call-up with something special, but this was not one of his best days, playing high on the left. Just wide with a late volley but peripheral.

Tammy Abraham: 8

His pace and ability to drift into space were again on show. Swept in a rebound after having a header spilled by keeper Dean Henderson. Poacher’s goal on 43 minutes made it 2-0. Inches away from a treble with a stab at goal which Henderson clawed away.

Willian: 5

On for Barkley after an hour but unable to get Chelsea going during the team’s abject second half showing. Several misplaced passes showed rustiness.
