There's a good chance at least one of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are pitted against Union Saint-Gilloise next term.
The Belgian side, who finally shook off the bridesmaid tag by ending their 90-year drought for league glory last term, will make their Champions League debut.
And when asked about the prospect of featuring in Europe's premier competition, midfielder Kamiel van de Perre sounded bullish about the minnows' chances. Even if league matters get the nod.
He told Capital Football: "Of course [we're ready]
"It's a dream since I was a kid.
"It's gonna be difficult and physically very tough.
"We first focus on the competition (Jupiler Pro League), the Champions League is a bonus."
But the Brussels side have to make do without goalkeeper Anthony Moris, who decided to swell his coffers by accepting Saudi Pro League side Al-Khaleej's bid.
The Luxembourger is a new teammate of ex-Watford ace Joshua King in the Middle East.
But van de Perre has moved on, saying: "We know, Antho had a lot of experience with us and that's a piece we lose of course.
"He came to visit the group and wished us all good luck. He wasn't crying but he was really confident in us that we'd have a good season.
"But I think Vic (Chambaere) did a really great job in the Supercup (Bruges ran out 2-1 winners).
"He was very calm and did good saves. The two goals were not his fault..."
Youngster Chambaere produced a flurry of outstanding saves in the first period.
Viktor Gyökeres, Joao Pedro and Dominic Solanke are warned.

For me, the most important thing in a platform is that it feels simple and not overwhelming. I don’t really enjoy when everything looks too busy or complicated. That’s why I tend to stick with options that are easy to understand from the start. Recently, I’ve been using this one wazamba-win.com and it’s been a pretty comfortable experience overall.
Everything is organized in a way that makes sense, so you don’t waste time trying to find what you need. There’s a good balance between different types of games, which keeps things interesting without feeling chaotic. I also like that I can just open it, play for a bit, and leave without feeling like I need to commit too much time.
