Chelsea Women v Everton is off

Chelsea women’s WSL match against Everton on a Sunday is off due To Covid and injuries.

Head coach Emma Hayes had held a press conference just a couple of hours before the announcement but both clubs have agreed to postpone the game at Walton Hall.

The club said “Sunday’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League away fixture against Everton will be rescheduled.

The away fixture against Everton scheduled for Sunday 16 January has been postponed.

The decision was agreed between both teams and the FA following a number of positive Covid-19 test results and injuries at Everton.

A revised date for the match will be confirmed in due course.
