"We were sloppy and far from perfect!" Verbruggen calls out teammates despite 3-0 rout of Arsenal

Bart Verbruggen has humorously called out his Brighton & Hove Albion teammates after their 3-0 demolition of Arsenal, pointing to some sloppy moments during the game.
The Netherlands’ number one pulled off a huge save to deny Kai Havertz in a one-on-one late on, with his side already three goals to the good, but played down suggestions that it was the ‘perfect game.
A win against the champions, a clean sheet and a stunning stop. The perfect day at the office?
Verbruggen, a perfectionist by nature, went on to tell Capital Football: “It’s never perfect but it’s good enough to enjoy today” (smiles).
“But of course it’s never perfect and in the first half, a couple of times we were a bit sloppy in possession.
“We started off amazing and then we gave momentum away with some sloppiness maybe.
“I don’t want to speak about it now, let’s enjoy today.
“Everybody goes with their national team or to the break, but this is a perfect way to finish.
“When we come back, we look at what we could have done better.”
Talk about a mentality monster.
