Emma Hayes continues to consolidate her squad as she prepares for the titanic task of retaining the WSL title and nabbing the Holy Grail - The Champions League.

To assist in that, she has nailed down wingback Niamh Charles to a new three-year-deal which will keep her at Kingsmeadow until 2025.

Charles, 23, said: "The past two years have been incredible and I’m excited to continue developing as an individual and with the team. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in the next few years.

"I can’t thank the fans enough for the support they’ve shown me and the team and we’re all excited to see them again at Kingsmeadow next week."

General manager Paul Green said: "Niamh has been developing well over the last couple of years and we look forward to seeing her continue to improve and develop over the next three years."

Charles is in the US with the rest of the squad competing in the Women’s International Champions Cup and will return next week ahead of the friendly against Spurs on Sunday, August 28.

Kick-off is at 2pm and tickets are available to be purchased here.
