Youri Tielemans to Arsenal? Arteta refuses to shed light on ongoing transfer rumours
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta was coy about his team's plans to bring Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans to the Emirates.
The Belgian has a year left on his deal at King Power Stadium and has reportedly privately expressed his desire to join the Gunners this year to take his career to a new level.
And the Foxes may be tempted ship the Belgian in a bid to avoid losing him for free in 12 months' time.
When asked whether he intends to go all-in for the ex-AS Monaco and Anderlecht hotshot, Arteta said: “We never talk about players that are not ours as I said before.
"We can improve the team still in the market.
"We are going to try and do it but we are not going to go into any specific names.”
Gabriel Jesus hit the ground running, netting a double on his Arsenal debut at 1.FC Nurnberg on Saturday afternoon.
The Brazil international joined the North Londoners for £45m from Manchester City as Arteta reshuffled his attacking pack following the departure of Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe's proposed exit.
And the former Man City assistant manager admitted that his side had been crying out for a prolific goalscorer of the 25-year-old Brazilian's ilk.
He told Capital Football: "It was obviously a position that was very necessarily that we have been looking to improve for a long time and we're really happy that we managed to get him."
