Bayer Leverkusen Edmond Tapsoba has spoken to Capital Football after the 2-0 win over the Hammers. Xabi Alonso's side can clinch their maiden Bundesliga with a win over Werder Bremen today. Find below what he said.

On the 2-0 win over West Ham: "We knew that until the end of the game anything can happen. And as everybody can see we always score like at the last minute. We always believe... and we waited 83 minutes to get the goal. And after that, the second goal came. We are happy about the win, let's see what happens in the second leg."

On striker Victor Boniface: "He has a lot of qualitiy, he's a striker that we needed for a long time. He's come back from injury and we are happy for him that he scored [against West Ham]. I prey for him to be safe and keep healthy, like everybody in the team. We knew his qualities and that he can hurt West Ham, any team."

On winning the league with a win against Werder Bremen: "We have a good momentum and need to keep it in every game. It's very good to win the league at home so we can celebrate like crazy guys. Let's try to win on Sunday."

Leverkusen were second from bottom in the Bundesliga when Xabi Alonso took over 18 months ago. Now they are on the verge of an unprecedented Bundesliga crown. Did he ever expect this? "We didn't believe it was possible. But we knew that what we were doing [would pay off] one day. Since Xabi came we've planned to get used to his style of play. Now it's working and we have to keep going and hope it will not stop. Sunday will be the best day of my life."
