QPR manager Michael Beale called for VAR to be introduced in the Championship following Hull’s late consolation goal during QPR’s 3-1 win at Loftus Road.

Hull substitute Tyler Smith’s late strike was ruled onside on a night where QPR’s offside trap caught Hull out on a number of occasions.

Beale told Capital Football: “I've just watched it back. He (the linesman) has got it wrong, so maybe that's the call for VAR.

“Why do we have it in the Premier League but not have it in the championship? Because I think maybe we would have conceded three less goals this weekend if I’m honest.

“They’re only human and he’s got that one wrong. It’s not cost us this evening, but on another day it could do.”

Beale also expects more incomings in the transfer window before Thursday’s 11pm deadline.

The QPR boss said that the West London club are in discussions with multiple players.

He said: “There’s one or two players we are talking to. It never moves as fast as you want, but I'm hopeful that we'll have at least one new face, maybe two by 11 o’clock on Thursday.

“We need to bring starters in. If they’re going to come in, they have to make us stronger.”
