Kane and Raya the only winners as Arsenal and Bayern Munich play out spectacular 2-2 UCL draw

UEFA Champions League MD3
Bayern Munich 2-2 Arsenal
Goals: Eze 25' (A), Davies 35' (B), Kane 61' (B), Rice 82' (A)
Declan Rice made the most of a one-two with Gyokeres to earn Arsenal a late 2-2 draw at European kings Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Ballon d’Or contender Harry Kane set up Alphonso Davies and converted a penalty himself after Ebere Eze had given the Gunners the lead by stroking home Martin Odegaard’s brilliant pass. Saka was forced off with an injury after just ten minutes while Joshua Kimmich missed out on the game due to his father's death.
It’s only the third time Arsenal have avoided defeat against the six-time European champions in eight visits.
But the draw means their run of 14 consecutive group-stage wins has come to an end.
It wasn’t just Kane who impressed. David Raya made a strong case for the Yashin Trophy with a flurry of world-class stops, most notably a brilliant reflex save to keep out Gnabry’s low effort, Upamecano’s point-blank header and Luis Diaz’s attempt.
Under-fire veteran Manuel Neuer also rolled back the years by keeping out Bruno Guimaraes’ header shortly after the restart before tipping over what would have been Timber’s winner in stoppage time.
The Dutchman gave away the penalty that led to Bayern’s second goal when he handled Kane’s effort.
Raya and Kane were far and away the real winners tonight. Let’s see what life has in store for the pair next Monday at the London Palladium.
But they certainly did their chances of following in the footstops of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Ousmane Dembele respectively no harm with tonight’s five-star showings.
And the ex-Spurs superstar certainly deserves it more than Owen did in 2001.
