Havertz and Hincapie set for blockbuster reunion but who will it be against?

Kai Havertz and Piero Hincapié may get the chance to visit their old club in the last-16 of the Champions League after Bayer Leverkusen progressed past Olympiacos.

A goalless home draw was enough for the German giants to seal a place in the next round after a pair of Patrik Schick goals in the first leg put them in pole position for this one.

On an uneventful night at BayArena, where Blaswich replaced crocked ex-Brentford goalie Mark Flekken, Czech star Schick could have doubled his goal tally in the tie. Yet this time his finishing touch let him down.

In the first period he sent a flicked header wide and then uncharacteristically failed to make the most of Tzolakis being off his line by fluffing a lob.

In second-half injury-time he should have unleashed his killer instinct in the Greek box but lifted incomprehensibly wide.

Having taken over the reins as Leverkusen's main man following the mass exodus last summer, Schick will have to banish tonight's memories and rediscover the world-beating aura of the first leg should the draw pair his side with the Gunners.

Both sides have not met in a competitive game since the 2001/02 season when Arsène Wenger's men wiped the floor with the future finalists in what is now the scrapped second group stage.

Yet Leverkusen could also be pitted against Bayern Munich while anyone with Arsenal allegiances will be curious to find out who emerges victorious between Atalanta and Dortmund tomorrow.

While that game is a hard one to call with Robert Kovac's side taking a 2-0 lead to Italy, it wouldn't be difficult to suss out who their versatile German frontman and Ecuadorian left-back would pick if it was down to them.
