Bayern Munich 4-1 Atalanta
Goals: Kane, Kane, Karl, Diaz (B), Samardzic (A).
Harry Kane revealed that he will be fully behind Tottenham Hotspur in their bid to avoid relegation.
With eight games to go, the north Londoners are fifth from bottom and one point above both West Ham and Nottingham Forest as they are fighting for their lives.
But Kane, who scored 280 goals and provided 63 assists for the club until 2023, told Capital Football that Igor Tudor's men are littered with the required skills to stay clear of the drop.
He said: "I hope that they stay up. They are in a tough situation for sure but I really hope they can.
"I think they have enough quality in their team to be able to do it.
"But as we know the Premier League is tough.
"I will be watching and hoping they can do it."
On Wednesday night, Tottenham's record goalscorer grabbed a brace in Bayern Munich's 4-1 demolition of Atalanta in the second-leg of the last-16 Champions League tie. The first of his pair was a retaken penalty after Sportiello repelled his initial effort. The Englishman then blazed one into the top-corner after leaving Atalanta's defence for dead with a back-heel flick. Lennart Karl and Luis Diaz completed the 10-2 aggregate rout with Atalanta substitute Samardzic heading home the consolation goal at the far-post. It was another memorable night at the office for Harry who hopes to see his beloved club in the top-tier next term.
