Club Brugge 6-0 Rangers
Goals: Seys 2x, Tresoldi, Vanaken, Stankovic, Tzolis
Ex-Crystal Palace goalkeeper Jack Butland has to wait another year to have a crack at the Champions League after Rangers suffered a 6-0 mauling at Club Brugge.
That's the third season in a row Butland's Rangers failed in their mission to sneak into the group stage of Europe's most-watched European competition.
PSV Eindhoven in 2023 and Dynamo Kyiv preceded the Belgian titans this year.
The odds were stacked against Rangers from way before kick-off as Club Brugge took a 3-1 away win to the second leg.
And a 5-0 first-half lead courtesy of goals by Tresoldi, Vanaken, Seys' brace and Stankovic inflicted irreparable damage on the hosts.
Tzolis added a sixth to make it a tennis scoreline and the side's worst-ever defeat outside Scotland.
