"Come and get me!", Crystal Palace target puts Premier League on alert

The son of a Dutch football legend has alerted the Premier League about his desire to move to England next summer.

Lyon defender Ruben Kluivert was in talks with Crystal Palace over a potential deal in late August to replace Maxence Lacroix.

But the Eagles eventually struck a deal with the Frenchman's new club Chelsea to bring in Alex Disasi on a season-long loan deal after failing to meet the French side's valuation for the Dutchman AND Malick Fofana.

But Patrick's son has not given up on his dream to move across the English channel.

And after his side's 2-1 win at Anderlecht in the opening game of the Europa League on Wednesday, he spilled the beans and told Capital Football: "I am happy here but the Premier League and the national team are on top of my list.

"It's what I eye and let's see what happens. It's really a dream.

"It's an honour having this surname, which is something my father has worked hard for.

"Dad knows everything about the game and is my biggest critic and fan at the same time. I'd like to face my brother Justin and Bournemouth in the Europa League this season."

So could Pierre Sage's side revive their interest in the versatile 2001-born defensive colossus should they fail to find a remedy for their leaky backline?

For the record, Palace have the worst defensive record in the entire division, with their net having been plundered 11 times in four games already ahead of Sunday's visit to Leeds United.
