Spurs looking for first win since September
Spurs make three changes to the team which drew at Everton on Sunday when they face Sheffield United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this afternoon.
Eric Dier, Giovani Lo Celso and Harry Kane replace Toby Alderweireld, Christian Eriksen and Lucas Moura.
Sheffield United, who would move up to fifth in the Premier League with a win, at least until Arsenal play at Leicester in the game’s late kick-off, are unsurprisingly unchanged from last weekend’s 3-0 win at home against Burnley.
Tottenham Hotspur will be looking for their first win in five Premier League games and come into the game on the back of four poor league results, draws against Everton and Watford and defeats to Liverpool and Brighton.
Their tally of 13 points is their lowest after 11 games since 2008-09.
And while the Lillywhites have not won since September 28, a 2-1 home success against Southampton, the Blades haven’t tasted defeat since that date, when they were beaten 1-0 at home by leaders Liverpool.
A two-goal win for Spurs could move them above the Blades into sixth position, at least until tomorrow, depending on Bournemouth’s result at Newcastle.
