Kane’s double sees off plucky AFC Wimbledon in FA Cup at Wembley

Who else but Harry Kane came to the rescue of the north Londoners as he hit a brace as they finally overcame plucky AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup 3rd round at Wembley this evening.

The south Londoners had kept Spurs ar bay for 45 minutes but Kane showed his class with two goals in two minutes

He tapped home after 63 minutes as the League One strugglers were dreaming of a sensational draw.

His second saw off any resistance and Jan Vertonghen’s deflected long range effort made the score reflect the dominance of the Premier League outfit.
